Love for great outdoors continued through my whole life and knives were always part of that journey.
I did not like all knives. I was always very selective about design and geometry.
At one point, I was able to join a workshop held by a great guy in Italy close to Slovenian border. That was one of the best money spent in my life. Amount of knowledge I got there was tremendous.
I also realized the fact that there is huge amount of manual skills involved in creating great blade. Not to mention knowledge of metallurgy.
After that workshop I had strong desire to try and make my own knives. As this was completely out of my comfort zone, I was on and off. Until one day…..I purchased a grinder, some steel and started to work. Grinding is an art on it’s own. I still can’t say I mastered it, but I’m very happy with the progress.
One thing that was always easy for me was the design. Lines, materials, colors,….all that came easy. And response from friends and family was just incredible.
Beside now having a great and relaxing hobby, Dark Blades brought into my life some long lost friends and some really awesome new people. Every day I feel thankful for all of you who came into my life.
